How To Phenotype Your Long Covid | Activity, Dysautonomia & PEM
In this video I share another short extract from my interview with Dr Eric Gordon from the upcoming free online symposium titled “Cracking the Online Illness Code” that runs from May 6th - 12th.
In the last video I spoke about the importance of phenotyping when it comes to diagnosing, researching and treating Long Covid, and how we’re likely to end up with perhaps six, seven or even more separate non-exclusive phenotypes that represent the Long Covid as a condition in its entirety.
But two of those mechanisms are particularly common in Long Covid, and so in this video I talk about how you can differentiate between them and work out what might be the major drivers of your symptoms.

    The past few years have been a journey for me into a new realm. It’s baffled me that the medical profession is so bad at treating chronic illness. But the good news is: there are doctors, like doctor Pridgen, Sarah MyHill but also LC and Lyme literate doctors in many countries, who seem to be able to treat people effectively. Part of the problem is the highly demanding stress laden lifestyles many people with chronic illness have lived for many years. So part of the solution is a change in lifestyle. Depending on the cause of the chronic illness, people do start to do better after taking antivirals or antibiotics for long periods of time. Even regular antivirals can help people with LC sometimes as herpes reactivating is a common theme among long haulers.

    I actually got better after 1.5 years of long covid. Then this year I had another viral infection, most likely covid again. Now it's back but it's worse, the vertigo/nausea is now daily, wake up with a headache/ neckache every morning. I can't tollerate any exercise now where as before I could still do some stretching. When this happened I was doing yoga everyday, breath work, meditation, relaxation every night. Not sure what to do now.

Im 43 single mom of 3 in relatively (what i thought ) good health. I am seeing cardiologist. Tests seem ok - except high ldl, and im having high blood pressure. I have had anxiety my whole life. All I hear is it is anxiety, but it came when i wasnt under stress and hasn't left. I just miss my old life. I only think about breathing all day long and i feel like im suffocating in my own body. I miss my life before this started. you don't appreciate something easy like being able to breathe normal - until YOU CANT. Something is off but I don't know what. Decreased sense of smell and taste as well. no positive covid test today- but Ive had it twice most recently being beginning of this year. Had bronchitis symptoms for 3 months after. i need relief, this at least gives me somewhere to start. This is ruining my life. I can not get a full deep breath but every 10-15 times i try and the air runs out quick. Then my body tries to yawn but it wont finish or i wont have a satisfying yawn. Its scary and I* am scared. I feel like im suffocating and i panic.

    i am not medically trained but my wife is a doctor who doesn't practice any more she asks for my advice as i am constantly researching etc, i have a hypothesis and i am hoping to find medically trained people that can prove it in relation to mcas and long COVID . and vaccine side effects etc, when i was a young child i was a healthy child until around 11 years old i was hit by a car and received a damaged brain i still to this day have a bruise on my brain i cant spell remember names or dates etc but my brain works very different to most people it find clues or bits of puzzles and puts them together it hard to explain really, anyhow my hypothesis is mcas is a neurological condition it works on the same pathway as nicotine caffeine and vitamin b1 etc for some reason i think the biogenic amines in food are interfering with the never signalling in the autonomic nervous system etc how i come to this idea is i went 2 stories high and landed on my head , i got hay fever allergies etc after , then in my early twenties i had another accident and received bad whiplash which has damaged the discs etc in my neck , there are studies showing that neck injuries cause mcas symptoms etc, now i spent nearly 30 years doing everything i could to heal my gut you name it i have tried it, since eating only beef lamb and salt and water my diet was so clean i could add things back in one at a time different chemicals stimulate different nerves which create different symptoms in different body parts etc any way i added coffee back in my diet and reacted to it so i looked for caffeine retaliated to nerves system , etc i tried nicotine chewing gum as nicotine helps with the half life of caffeine in the body but in my case i got worse so i look at nicotine pathway etc, i found that coffee and nicotine both deplete thiamine b1 in the body , so i started to look into thiamine etc , it was used for treatment for seriously ill COVID patients and nicotine was used to treat COVID as well and smokers didn't get seriously ill from COVID so then i looked into ivermectin effects on the nervous system and you guessed it , now after my neck injury i developed psoriasis and gilberts syndrome neither of these are in my family yet are suppose to run in families i have healed both now how is that possible as i was told that cant happen. i had psoriasis for a few years i took selenium and milk thistle and it cleared up over a year or so my liver test still showed i was jaundice and you could see this in my eyes and skin etc my doctor wife would always point it out etc, just after i cleared that up the psoriasis, i got glandular fever which really effected my energy levels etc but i wasn't to bad that went on for 2 years then i got really ill and had every test they could think of they couldn't work out what was going on they gave up and sent me to a endocrinologist it was there i learnt that i had contracted the mumps and learnt about amines in food etc since going on a meat diet and drinking chlorine dioxide i never get yellow or have bowel problems or yellow stools etc which was a daily thing for me for decades also as the years went by i would be sitting on the toilet and saliva would pour out of my mouth with the pain from my bowels i have read that this is from the nervous system, lately i have been taking b1 supplements and it seems to be helping with my nerves etc as i still get pain in my left side from my neck, so i believe that COVID is a bio weapon that effects the nervous system as i have read that the same symptoms can be achieved by the nervous system and spinal injuries to the neck can cause mast cell activation . now i am not claiming that every person with mcas has had a tbi or i neck injury but i believe viruses are damaging the nervous system some how this part i cant work out as i am not a doctor that can run tests on people , maybe they deplete vitamins and minerals etc as i have researched that the modern diet eg carbs block the absorption of b1 as well so if people have low levels by our modern diet then get a virus which puts the system under stress maybe this could be enough to create a chronic condition etc, wishing you and your family all the best by the way don't ever let your daughter get morphine i died on the operating table from it maybe this is why i was sent back ?

    What about the MATH+ protocol? Steroids, Ascorbic acid (high dose), Thiamine and Heparin? Check to make sure the Vitamin D3 blood level is above 80 ng/ml and run a thyroid panel too.

  • @mykatawato2043
    @mykatawato2043 27 дней назад

    Long Covid testing should ALWAYS include Vitamin D3 blood tests first. Doesn't a blood level below 80 ng/ml indicate that the patient MAY have a low level of Vitamin D3? Healthy Vitamin D3 blood levels = a more healthy immune system. (insufficient or deficient Vitamin D3 blood levels) What about B complex levels and B12 levels? Thyroid panel as well. Generally I feel that Long Covid and indeed all autoimmune disease are diseases of MALNUTRICIAN. Low Vitamin and mineral supplement levels. If you are low in Steroids, Vitamin A, B, C, D, E and folate, Omega-3 DHA/EPA, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, magnesium, potassium, selenium, iodine, Sulphur, sodium, chloride, etc. If you don't have a good foundation of vitamin and mineral levels I do believe you are setting yourself up for disease, infection and inflammation. I think checking these key vitamin and mineral levels along with steroid level and thyroid panel ARE a defacto Long Covid/Autoimmune test.

    Just the term pacing, which I was not familiar with in this context, is a revelation. I don't know if I have long Covid or not, but it feels like that, and when I take time off from some tedious work, I tend to call myself lazy or escapist. That is psychologically draining. The term pacing feels nice and I am trying it out. Look forward to more exchanges on the topic.

      @@RUNDMC1 So I mean... You have talked to so many researchers and I have heard that a cure is minimum 10-15 years away realistically speaking.... ? What do you think about this considering you have talked to so many researchers? Also, what supplements would you recommend me. My main symptoms are spasms sometimes, POTS, heat intolerance and un refreshing sleep.... I have recently brought Nattokinase Serrapetase Vitamin C Zinc NAC... I think I am more in the dysautonomia group ... Some also swear by ivermectin, quercetin... Also, do you have any idea of some doctor or researchers who are working on this from India???? I will pray for you.... God bless you. Inshallah you will have recovery.
